ATHENA
Goddess of Wisdom and War
Symbol: Owl
Father: Zeus
Athena was a very powerful goddess because of her wisdom and war skills, which make her like the female counterpart to Ares. Zeus had a woman named Metis who he had an affair with and found out that any son she bore would overthrow him, so Zeus swallowed her whole. Then when Hephaestus split Zeus' head open with an axe, Athena popped out of his head "fully armed". She was also said to be Zeus' favorite child.
